Default timing advance

what is everyone using for their ignition to advance the timing for nitrous and forced induction? i'm reading up on the MSD manual box and need to get some ideas of what to put on the car and how to operate it to advance the timing for nitrous. i want to be able to put it back to stock specs for cruises.

OK here's the best advice I can give you: DO NOT attempt to use nitrous until you learn a little more about how engines work..

You do not advance timing for a power adder, you retard it.

The Mallory 685 is what I use

Ok, then continue being a dumbass. Your call.

I wasn't being sarcastic. You're not going to get anything but disintegrated information and a lot of opinions on the internet. If you want to do real "RESEARCHING" as you call it, you wont be doing it here.

Dont get me wrong, ls1 tech is a great site as are many others, with lots of helpful people, but you need at least some degree of fundamental knowledge to be able to make good use of what you read here.

If you want to use nitrous, you need to read up on it, along with how engines work and a whole lot of other stuff.

If you just want to be a parrot and do what someone on here tells you, dont be surprised when you get in way over your head and seriously **** something up, and dont expect the internet to bail you out.

Good luck.

A 685 box or a MSD Dig 6 will work, your probably going to want to keep it at a 150 shot or less, I would work your way up there. How much do you want to spend? Wet? Dry? Direct? Plate? Brand? Your going to need a bit more info before you start buying. Its something around 2 degrees per 50 on the shot but that just an estimate and it really needs to be setup for your car.
