Default IHRA Pure Stocker (On A Budget)

I've been talking with the boys and we have decided to do a new project.

This will be a race only project that will use the stock 10-bolt, stock internals, and a factory computer.

I will do my best to include every detail and cost in this thread so that you can build one just like it if you want to!

One slightly used 1994 Formula with stretched rear wheel openings, a chrome-moly roll bar, and BMR style weld-in frame connectors $800.00.

This project will be done on an absolute shoe string budget. We will be using a bunch of parts that I have lying around as well as doing a lot of horse trading. I will be posting my wants in this thread, but please answer them by PM.

For now I need the following parts.

1. Girdle for a ten bolt.
2. Factory drum rear brake backing plates from an F-Body (complete).
3. Two 15" x 8" factory F-Body rear wheels. Correction. Two 15" x 7" Caprice 1994-96 steel wheels

AGAIN, PM ONLY

Sorry to let you down on this one, but I was wrong in regards to the wheels. I guess I am now looking for 1994-96 Caprice 15" x 7" steel wheels.

We plan to run B/PS which has a minimum of 8.10 (1/8) and 12.45 (1/4). The current IHRA HP rating for the LT1 is 315 (Pure Stock only). That means we have to weigh a minimum of 3005 lbs including driver.

To make everything clear on this build I will post all of the IHRA rules pertaining to whatever we are working on that day.
