Yes. They are discontinued by GM. Let me know what you want for them by PM.

Thanks!

This brand was recommended by Lee Norton who runs a stock rear in his six cylinder Stock Eliminator Firebird. He said that they have survived with an automatic, but he had a few failures with a stick shift.

Are all the drum break parts the same as for 3rd gens? Maybe the same for A/G bodies from about 1979 and up too??

Also, would you be better off to run a 3rd gen housing (90-92 so it has 28 splines) so that it would be narrower? I'm thinking that would allow for more backspacing on the wheels as well as weigh a few pounds less?? It should not be hard at all to find a drum break rearend from one of those.

Hey Gizmo, I have a complete rear drum setup. It's still on the car and being driven but I've had a LT1 disc setup sitting in a box waiting to go on the car. I'm 10 minutes from zMax Dragway and I can do the swap and have the stuff ready next week when I get back in town from Thanksgiving.

Not a lot has been going on around here on the LTX front. I have been spending a lot of time in El Salvador and work in the USA has been pretty busy too. The boys are coming over next week to put the new motor in the white car and to get it ready for the Spring. I still haven't torn down the motor that I grenaded at Shootout in Gump. So, I am behind on everything. It looks like I may have to borrow the white car for a few races!

My first car is a 1969 GTO. It is sitting in the weeds at the house, along with my Dads Grand Sport and another 1969 GTO. I have a 1968 GTO at a friends house. The plan is to fix them all.

I have been a little side tracked due to the new factory involvement with Stock Eliminator.

Merry Christmas!

Daren

That's pretty crazy you have that many gtos sitting around. Not to mention one of them was your first car. My first car was a 93 accord and I had it for maybe 6 months before some woman ran a stop sign and totalled it.

I was thinking the same thing about the GTOs. Very very nice collection!!! My first car was a 96 Firebird although I quickly traded it in for a brand New 97 Formula and have been hooked ever since!!!

So Darren...... What factory involvement?????? Pretty sure you got that Dodge and a new Camaro chassis??

Subscribed. Mini spool should work with 300hp. I have a ford 9 inch I bought from a guy I work with that has a mini spool. He was putting 450hp thru it in a strip only car.
