Bolts were purchased..still had to clearance the spot for the BRACKET, and that was after grinding it.

I would expect you to have figured that out..but I can see why not when you drive a mid 12's 395.3 SR car.

It's loud and it smells alrite..smells like fail..

I don't care what you had to do. This isn't about you other than your suggestion to dent a primary to make a bolt fit. As stated, smart.

It's unnecessary is what it is. No reason to dent anything when there are smaller bolt head sizes available that make header installs virtually painless and less timely.

yep thats the solution and take a long box end wrench and grind the box end down thin so it fits and then heat it up and bend it to what you need...........thats what i did on mine and it works like a champ......took a sharpe and labled the wrench as lt1 header tool and tossed it in my glove box lol

Mike if you took the tools out of your glove box and put them in a tool box, you might just loose enough weight to get your 9s NA. JK!!!!!

I went through the exact same process bro, you will be pulling your hair out with those 12 point bolts. You need some 6 point 5/16 bolts. I grinded down a few of my wrenches and tried every trick in the book with my Dynatech headers. You will eventually be able to get them threaded down, but good luck getting them tight!

If I EVER install headers again I will make sure to get 6 point bolts in the smallest acceptable head size.
