daily driven lt1 in the 11s
Concentrate on the car's consistency and your reaction times is my advice. Once I began winning in competition my whole prospective changed. I'm just a very competitive person. Of course, your mileage may vary.
Good luck,

I ran 11.9s with the old cam he had in his stock shortblock. IMO had he put good heads and his old cam in a stock shortblock he should be running faster than this.
I know there are a lot of people who want a fast car for bragging rights and status, and those are the ones who jizz all over themselves to have just another cookie cutter setup.
Those people take no pleasure in "a work in progress".
My car started out running low 14's up here, and now has 10sec potential. and I had fun every step of the way getting faster and faster.
You people are so quick to condemn someone unless they post a time that you think is impressive, without thinking for a damn second that maybe they are having fun instead of trying to brag about their accomplishments or challenge yours.
There will always be someone faster, and if you cant have fun with what you have, and learn to make it faster over time, you should probably quit and find a new hobby.
Your **** ET's ok but 116 is pretty weak dude.
And dont cry to us about having a heavy *** lead sled, you're the one who bought it and built it. If you want to be handicapped for that, maybe you should go race diesel trucks or something where 13's is considered fast.
Fact is, your car would be LUCKY to run a 12 if it was setup like his.
Just enjoy your accomplishments and ******* leave everyone else alone.
My car ran a 15.5 first time at the track.........are you going to **** all over it too?
He didn't come on here bragging. For someone admitting that he needs practice driving a stick, and with the noted issues with the car, look for both his ET and trap to improve significantly as he works through them.
Your **** ET's ok but 116 is pretty weak dude.

My car ran 12.7 on my old setup, 190cc heads 226/234 cam 3.73s 3400 stall on 27" street tires at over 4300lbs., slicks and tools were in the trunk. I define "street tires" as Bridgestone Potenzas a real street tire.
