whats your DA? think about all that room for improvement you have by sorting things out. I bet you'll pick up quite a bit w/o investing much more money at all any chance on seeing the full slip? that will give us a lil more info

dont let a few narcissistic & egotistical bad apples ruin it for you, some of these guys are just plain miserable in life and they reflect it in here. the LT1 is a great platform imo and theres plenty of other LT1 boards btw

i dont have the slip on me but the only other time i can remember was my 1\8 mile was a 7.7 on one of the 11.9 passes anyway. cant remember which one. the other one had a 114 trap speed but i think thats cause i was playing with my shift points. i havent had it on a dyno since i got the motor so im really just guessing. i could probably use a shift light too.

Like RamAir said, the tune is everything. And come on over to LTXTech and join up with us as well, we'd love to have you. It seems to be slightly less testosterone/drama filled.
It's great that you're talking about your work in progress and what you need to improve/change. If you're not a "master builder" or don't have a car that runs in the 10's, I can understand how some people don't post much...because they get a bunch of unsupportive, crucifying bullshit like you're getting from some people right now.
I think it's great you have the "*****" (shouldn't have to) to post about something you're having fun with and working on a bit at a time. Don't let anyone discourage you.
Discouraging people = Douchebags.

You got a lot left in that set up! You'll go faster with a tune, better air and more seat time. Ask Jason Short about the first time he took his 396 took the track in his old 93 Formula. Didn't go 10s the first time, but he worked at it and got some pretty impressive times out of it. So stick with it, your at a good point where you have room to just get faster with some improvments

oh yea, im not anywhere close to being done with the car. the heads and cam are too mild for what i want. it will either be getting afr 195 comp or 210 comp with a ported intake and a custom cam. (my intake hasnt been touched other than a 58mm tb) hoping for bare minumum 500 rwhp with that. on top of that, it should be getting a 200 shot eventually.

so even after this setup is dialed in, theres alot more commin.

Man with a 6 speed there is so many things that can happen on the track. Idk if your really into the 6 speeds like some people but nowadays you can't beat a Stalled Auto plus when you shift the auto there is no chance of missing the gear. Just My opinion like you said its a street car and 6 speeds are fun as hell on the street just throwing that out there to maybe make your car a bit more consistent

hey good times for being your first few trips to the track with that setup! Get some 4.30 gears to get rid of the bog and some more seat time... it will come around for ya!
