i used 7.2 magnum pushrods and 1.6 scorpion roller rockers on stock springs with 150 shot for over 3yrs with never any issues with the exception of header bolts coming loose due to the nitrous.

i have been running stock springs with comp cams roller tip 1.6 rockers that came with pushrods now for 2 years without any problems except for a little halve float at 6k rpms

Your exactly right, theres a reason GM upgraded the springs on the LT4 motors. Some people get away with it but it's just a stupid risk IMO. I bought the car this way and had no idea about it. If I where to ever do 1.6's on an LT1 I'd definately swap out the pushrods and springs just for piece of mind and insurance.

I'have been recommented to use 7.100 by Lloyd,u can use a sharpie to measure it
