new throttlebody-help

ok i just put on my throttle body and everything is koo. except now the rpms get stuck. ill be cruising and the have to break and the rpms dont drop. sometimes the even go up but nothing drastic. the only go back down when i hit the accelerator again. i give it a couple of tapes then the rpms drop. any help would be appreciated. thanx

I'd put money on it sticking as well. If it was sticking when you got it, lubing it up won't help for long. I can't say that I'm familiar with the AS&M setup, but I've had this problem with a stock TB. Driving to work after I "cleaned and lubricated" the one in my 85, it stuck, and pegged the engine on the rev limiter.

what would make it stick?
I've been having some trouble with mine, but it only does it sometimes.
It's a standard, and if I push the clutch in or put it in neutral, sometimes it will rev UP more than when i was in the gas and just hold steady at a rev (about 2K RPM).
Before it had been idling too low, and so I took the throttle body apart and cleaned it and the IAC, and it changed to going high.
I've been having some trouble with mine, but it only does it sometimes.
