I think it's a great price. I got a good deal on my SS with almost all bolt-ons and even if I sunk the difference between what I paid and what you are asking, I still wouldn't have as nice or as quick a car as yours....not to mention it would have 30K more miles on it.
I doubt it will stay for sale long even in this economy (or lack thereof) but to be honest I kinda hope it doesn't sell since I believe you will regret it down the road.

I feel your pain, I am in the same boat. Kinda fell out of love with the car.

The car is FAR from over priced.

Make it turn and stop.....put a stick in it and trackday it.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, etc...I knda feel like I've taken the car as far as it should be taken. It deserves someone who wants to have fun with it and has the time for it...I'm sure like everything else I've sold over the years I'll regret the sale down the road, but now its the right thing to do...Having said that, I'm not gonna budge on the price. The more I thought about it the more I realized that the price is fair and it would be very hard to duplicate it for twice the money so we'll leave it at that.

Like I said before if it doesn't sell I won't be upset. I'll just hang on to it and see what incarnation occurs. I thought about making it more of a car for the twisties at one point, but again I just don't have the time anymore. So, thanks again everone and spread the word, but not too much (lol) and we'll see what happens...

Its a C5 Z i was talking about and if you read you would have seen I was referring to C4s and C5s. They can both be made incredibly fast but most vette owners will never crack a valve cover. BTW my buds 03 Z06 goes 12.3 at 113 bone stock tires to filter.

I'm not seeing how running low 12's stock including tires is over rated. Especially considering what they can do once you decide to turn and brake.

^^^^Hey thanks! Yeah I think it's pretty fair even for a lowly LT1 car! And AC and Speed_demon my dad's LPE 383 2003 Corvette runs 11.50s at 121 with a weenie 207/220 emissions cam, 3.42s, and a Yank 2800 thru the cat converters...Just think what a nice cam, 3.73s, no cats, and a 4400 stall would do...mmmmmmmm....LPE has a 215/230 cam with .630" lift on like 117lsa that sounds stock and was tested amongst other big players in the cam field in GMHTP and it made nice power with a stockish idle...

Seems to happen like that quite often. Always looked like a nice car & certainly runs well. Good luck with it either way!

Damn man, I've always looked up to your car. But if your dad is going to sell you his car for a good price, I'd bite the bullet - but then again I'm biased on the subject being obsessed with C5/C6's

The secret is using the Edelbrock SDT 304 muffler...They only measure 3 5/8" thick even in the 3" form...And having a really good fabricator tuck the system up tight, and finally, running a 28" tall tire...When I was using 26"s back there I rubbed the mufflers a few times, but not too badly...The Edelbrocks are the best kept secret going..They flow very well, sound great and fit up under the car well...I need to post a WOT sound clip...They sound awesome, loud but not too loud for my 41 year old ears..
