I remember one of the first LT1 cars that I was looking at buying being quasar blue. The only problems with it were that it was an auto and it was a little out of my price range at the time. lol

Some different kinds of pics to go with this post to show some history of this one.... Owned since Jan/97, and now at 185K miles, my 93's lives a busy life- totaled in '04.... bought back and fixed it. A year later it caught fire and almost lost it again due to faulty alternator/ voltage regulator after a shop rebuilt it. It had an article in Popular Hotrodding titled "The Greatful Red' in Sept 2002. It had a few moments in the Power Tour episode of 'Rides' with Chris Titus. Other than that, many Power Tours, and since '97 its been getting the **** pounded out of it at Road America just about every race season and its not slowing down!

In humbling company with real vintage racecars on Sept 11, 2010; The Heat was 1 of 35 cars doing re-creation laps at Elkhart lake during 60th anniversary celebration. We drove the original street circuit (6 miles of county and highways roads that were used prior to the construction of the Road America race track in 1953) as it was used from 1950-1952.... At SPEED



And we're off starting the re-creation laps....



Just like looking through a time capsule- Coming into a turn very fast with spectators right there.
