No forced induction. N/A for the road course, nitrous for drag racing.

Cost, complexity, time, powerband.

I will do a FI build someday but dont have the time right now, and while I know you can do a turbo on a road course, it is simpler to keep in NA.

I dont need gobs and gobs of power. As FFB said, I'll have WAY more than enough HP to get into trouble on a road course when I do this stroker build.

And a nice little 200 shot for some low 10's

cp

ring pack. I dont know that i want to run a vacum pump for reliability purposes.
i wouldn't run a pump unless you really need that last few hp

oil pump: Stock with white spring.
ere uses the titan pump, which is pretty good for a wet sump system.

Valvetrain: Looking for suggestions, it will not be cheap. Might keep my comp ultra pro mags, or i can easily sell them and move up. Jesels, td shaft mounts, morel link bar lifters, etc.
definately jesel

cam: Will probably work with the head supplier and a good friend to spec the cam. Probably something in the low 240's intake duration with 540ish lift for valvetrain reliability purposes. Again, road race.
you need a bit more lift and durration for 500

What about a BBC? Although a BBC isn't an option if your dead set in what class your going to run.

A friend of mine runs a crate 502 in a 69 Camaro, and I'm amazed at what cars that little motor pulls away from at the road race track. He kills most anything with exit speed coming out of corners.

A big cube, lower revving motor would drive like a ***** cat on the street and then spray the snot out of it at the strip.

Been discussing things a little bit with Mr. Ellwein.

Looks like this will end up being a 408
