ecm cant read it

Default ecm cant read it
I have a 93 TA and having trouble with reading the ecm I connect the code reader and can't comuicate with the ecm. Could it be the hypertech chip or just a bad wire

i had that problem once in my pontiac cuz the fuse was bad for the cig lighter. my code reader got its power from the cig lighter.

no my code reader has battery for it so tha t is not it

Did you try just jumping the terminals on the obdI port and waiting for the SES to flash the codes?
