What are the best 5 or so mods to do to a stock LT1? Looking for decent power upgrades without using the obvious ( supercharger or nitrous ). Thanks for all help.

maybe a rebuild if your over 100k
Cam-depending on miles, buying new or used parts, paying for labor or doing it yourself, etc.

If your doing the work and buy all used stuff your 5k will take you a real long way. Maybe into the 10's if you use n2o. Lots of guys have ran real quick with 3-4k in mods.

Thanks. Five grand is a good starting budget. Car has 92000 miles. Can do some stuff myself nothing to intricate though. Would eventually like to run a procharger @ 10 to 12 psi.

I thought you meant the top 5 mods....not what mods with a 5K budget. In that case I'd blow part of the wad on losing the little ten bolt.

5k is quite the budget.

12 bolt or s60

do the work yourself
