I'm a chick, but that's cool. Focus on dropping your '60 first, so do LCAs and a torque arm. You wouldn't believe what a $90 set of LCAs would do for your launch in comparison to stock LCAs. I had GMMG, LCAs, LCA reloc brackets, non-adjustable panhard, strut tower brace, and subframes, and a CAI. I ended up running 13.55 at 100.62 with a 1.96 60'. To be honest, that isn't a bad time at all considering what was done.

^ Im sorry although its good to see a girl in the lt1 section. But yes exactly what she said a good set of lcas relocation brackets will help and throw a good phr on there and your good to good.
build a cold air intake 30-50bux
cutout 35
Poly TQ arm bushing 25
TB bypass 10
used lca's 60
Drop the front sway bar, all seats, jack&spare, 1/4 tank of gas, mats.
Stuff over 100
PCM tune 100-125
gears 200-500 (depending on labor and other parts needed)
used LT headers/ y pipe 300
used 1.6rr's/springs 200
Im not sure how handy you are and what type of tools you have but guys have made sub frame connectors, Boxed the stock LCA's, etc.
Id do the stuff under 100 bux and the tune as a start.
