Default new cam oil change?

I put a new came in my LT1 and I'm wondering how long before i can switch back 2 synthetic? I wanna run my Mobil 1 again.

There's no reason you should have switched to conventional in the first place.

I thought u had to break in a new can with conventional oil.

What makes you think M1 is any better than conventional oil in the LT1? Been awhile since I researched it, but when I did the actual used oil analysis results for M1 in an LT1 were not worth the price. Iron wear in particular ran pretty high. That could have changed but I would guess you are making your decision based solely on advertising and not more up to date info than I have.

switch back now, I recommend 0W-40, much better wear numbers than their 5W 30

After my h/c/i build, I ran cheap 10w-30 for about 30 miles, then changed the oil back to full synthetic 10w-30. Just wanted to ensure the excess cam lube/grease/crap from the build was filtered out.

There is no need to "break in" a cam with a roller valve train. The only component that has to be run in on a LT1 engine are new rings. That's it.
