twisted wedge heads
Rare doesn't mean good or better. They are rare for a reason, and that usually means money needs to be spent to make them work... not small budget compatible.
Just know this if not set up right, they have issues. They need the backset r rockers that comp sells and intake and ex take different length pushrods, If not properly setup they are prone to break springs and wear guides. When set up with correct geometry and ported the LTX TFS TW last generation heads put out very good power thru a very wide range, and don't need to be revved to do it. I had a early and late set and took forever to get them set up correctly, due to lack of good info from Trickflow ATT. Early sets are problematic and steer clear from them.
They work great on 355 engines. I don't know if TFS sells the special guide plates any more as well, they kinda of gave the Kenny D/TFS name a bad rep awhile ago, that they have since overcame and then some. Some size valves may be hard to locate for them and they do not make as much power as many new 18,21,& 23 heads, and were discontinued. Just make sure they are complete, with valves, guide plates, backset roller rockers, TFS valve covers, springs and so on as you will be on a Treasure Hunt to find the correct stuff. Not budget friendly as you will need to get them ported to get any real gains from them and 2 grand isn't much for a good set of heads, plus these need a mid range cam ground for them to get the maximum from them. Call AI and get their thoughts on them. Me, I got rid of them and went to something much better AI ported LT4 heads. If I was doing today it would be TFS 21degree heads ported by AI.

If you are looking for 400-450rwhp NA with a hydraulic roller 350/355/383/396 then you simply cannot be the value of our 190/200cc CNC work & components applied to GM LT castings. Our 190/200cc head will not only make more power, but with our level of machining you are guaranteed to receive the level of potential that all of our fast guys got. We do not produce a "monday" or "friday" head. Furthermore, though rarely discussed, we have essentially eliminated the trade offs w/ our 190/200cc work that lesser designs & entry level work often suffer from. You can have a ~400rwhp mild 350 setup now, and simply allow us to freshen the head and swap valve train in the future for 450-500rwhp NA without having to buy new heads.

If $ is a concern up front, then it is worth considering the cost of ownership beyond initial purchase price. Additionally, the more you deviate from stock, the higher the probability is that you'll either have issues or reduce the longevity significantly.
Good luck!
