so i have a chance to buy a set of these rare heads, im working on an mildly agressive but streetable build, would they be good for that?
and also, does anyone know what parts are specific to these heads, i.e. valves, springs or what?

well im still really looking into them, but the only thing holding me back is my lack of knowledge on them, are the rockers the same as they are for regular lt1 heads, what about the springs, or pushrods, or valves?

I don't have any experience with the twisted wedge heads on LT1, but I had 2 friends who ran them on old SBC's. One claims a 3+ MPG improvement and alot more power, but he doesn't race. The other said he saw some gas milege increase as well and he went from consistent 8.80's to consistent 8.30's with no other changes with his daily driver. That was compared to some very good heads to start with...not vs. some stock smog head stocker junk. 1/8th mile track of course.
I do remember they both had to use custom length pushrods, and that you can only run xxx amount of lift before custom valve notches were required due to the different valve angles/placements with the "twisted wedge" chamber. If I remember correctly it wasn't much over .525" lift and 23X something @ .050" that was recomended. That was with a flat tappet hydraulic. I'm pretty sure all this would still apply to the LT1 since the differences should be water passage related only.

just the thing that keeps me looking at them is, dont we do stuff to our cars to make them different from everyone elses? so the cool factor of these is very high, especially if they are a good set of heads, which i have been hearing good things about them.

Lloyd Elliott is really good at what he does and the price is better. I don't see why you have a reason for bashing him. Like he ports heads the wrong way just because they are hand ported!
