Any suggestions on where I could find an entire suspension kit?

Talk to Spohn, UMI, or BMR.

I'll play devil's advocate simply to ask why would you go out and blow money on a stall converter before even knowing what the power band of the new engine is? Just my thoughts. Even after I had my new stroker fully assembled and went to get a custom stall converter made, the company said ideally I should have the engine or car dyno'd to see exactly where the power curve is, THEN build a converter to best suit it. I didn't have the time, patience, or resources to do this so instead I sent the company all my engine specs including chassis mods, purpose for the car, and reasonable estimates for HP & TQ peaks and had them build a converter based on that info. I mean I guess you can't go too wrong with a 3600 SS, but I'm just saying if the guy ends up building a really top end loving cam only monster with a chassis/suspension that can handle a 5k launch, then that $700-$800+ spent on a 3600 RPM converter is going to be a painful mistake.

Regarding block, you could very well be able to use your existing "block" as foundation for your new build. However having a shop source you a good used LT block would probably only cost you a few hundred bucks and let you keep having fun with the existing motor while the new one is being built. The real cost will be the machine work involved with boring, squaring, honing, and machining for splayed main caps. But at least you'll have a foundation you'll never have to worry about.

Enough people out there seem to be pushing 450-500 hp with a studded 2-bolt bottom end without problems. I went the splayed route myself for piece of mind, but again if we're talking 500 flywheel/flexplate HP I think some people would argue its not terribly necessary.

I bought EVERYTHING from BMR - not only their chassis and suspension products but also my HAL QA1 front coilovers and rear 12-way adjustable shocks. I use the stock springs for the rear. I may have found the QA1 **** cheaper somewhere else, but considering I had so much stuff being shipped from BMR I did it all in one shot (plus the dude - Dave or Dan? Can't remember it was so long ago) cut me a little tiny break on the price (I practically bought every single LT1 specific part they offered!!!)

Tubular K member
Tubular upper & lower A-arms
already had a Moroso strut tower brace
Front sway bar
Boxed sub frames
Extreme TQ arm kit
Extreme rear control arms
ajd chromemoly pandhard bar
Extreme rear sway bar

Think the only thing else might be a cage some day. I'm not goiing to be doing 5k launches though!

You could get all this same stuff from competitors like Spohn or UMI. Everybody seems to have compatible stuff. UMI (I think) supposedly has a better designed "double" K-member according to some people. I bought all my BMR stuff well over 2 years ago (maybe 3) and every single piece looked great. I'm sure each company makes good stuff.

Ummmmm... I say don't look into STS. And this is coming from someone who has it. It's sounds like you want to spray or that you want to go about this the most direct way as possible -- don't go STS. Look into getting lower control arms, relocation brackets, SFCs, panhard, springs, torque arm, and a strut tower brace. It really cut down my ET by just doing those items.

I have a good bare block if you're interested...I'm in IL though. $75 plus shipping. Has very little core shift.
