You just made a thread. Threads are conversations created by users, other users post within the thread.
If you want to make a build thread, do what you just did (create a thread) in the LT1/LT4 section, and call it "Drak's build thread" or something of the sort. Then you can post your plans, problems, progress, and pictures.
