Default DLC Issues.
For some Stupid reason my DLC connector wont work on my 94' camaro. I check for voltage and ground, those are both fine. The serial data cable has continuity, IDK how to check for signal however.

Does anyone know a way to trouble shoot this better ? I need to figure out a code my ECU is throwing

Try to scan a different obdI car to rule out your cable and scanner

Already did that. The scanner was used on a 94 truck and worked fine. It says that it fails to communicate with the ECU.

you need to check a wiring diagram to the pcm. is it the first time u use it, i thought one of those thing needs a power source (12+ cigar lighter). but it looks like u have it all (ground-voltage-signal). its weird

Get a paperclip and connect terminals A & B. Then turn the key on and count the blinks.

This only works with 93s. He has a 94.

It is.. The cable i bought to hook up to my laptop didnt say Anything about a 12v source. And my friends scanner didnt need it either. along time ago when i first did afew things over i had used another scanner that did have a plug for the cigarette lighters.. The only thing is i cant get a hold of that scanner anymore

Thanks for the tip. I wasnt planning on by a scanner as a fix for a fix. Whats there website that i can check it out tho.

If the car will make it to the store, they will bring a scanner out in the parking lot and check the codes for free. If their scanner works, you know it is the scan tool, not the car.

The car drives fine, the SES light is on tho. Ill try to bring it by someone that has a different scanner to see if that works. IDK why my usb cable doesnt work then
