92 and 93 were speed density, 94-97 had MAFs.

I doubt it....Something isn't right with your cold start tune....Prob starts running better once it gets into open loop....

Open loop is what the computer is in when you first start it, once it warms up and the o2s are operational is goes into closed loop.

This means that your car was not fully tuned. Removing the MAF will resort to using a seperate Speed density VE-table based tune. If the alternate VE table was not tuned then the car will not run properly if you unplug the MAF.

With a thorough enough tune you can run both MAF-less and without o2s...although that is really not recommended for a street car.

OP:
Have you ever data logged it? It could very well be your open loop tune causing the issues, until the car warms up and starts using the o2s.

You can datalog it and run the file through VE master to smooth the VE table out and get a good starting point for a SD tune.

I guess I really just need to find somone local who can dyno tune it. Since I have no way of data logging this thing.
