Default O2 sensor hole/bung size????

I have aspeed density tune done on the car and no longer utilize the holes/bungs that the sensor scres into. My question is what size is the threads that the sensor screws into. I went to ACE and the say its an odd size. 3/4 fine thread was a little loose and couldn't find any thing else which includes metric. We also tried pipe thread and those didn't match up eathier. Little confused by this. I want to plug the holes in the headers all though I do not want to weld the holes shut just incase I sell them one day and get some different long tubes. They O2's I have are ACDelco's and my headers are hooker super comp LT's...Any advice would be great thanks.

M18 is the thread, the most common size for O2 bungs.

I looked at ace hardware when I was trying to plug my O2's and they didn't have anything. The only thing that I could find around was at NAPA. They have some O2 bung plugs. They were $8.xx a piece for me this summer.

So it likes like the top one which is the mild steel may be the best. It looks to have less threads so it doesn't screw so far into the exhaust pipe not that it matters i guess to much.
So these bastards are $8 or so at napa, i guess that may be roughly the same getting these shipped. I'm going to look at locally tomorrow if not I'll be ordering these. Thanks for the link!

You can use an M18 oil drain plug, which most stores should carry.

If anybody wants to know an engine oil drain plug for a 1986 Toyota Supra works perfectly.

I just went down to the local Hotrod shop and asked for some M18 O2 bungs, cost me a little over a dollar each. I would look around for a local Hotrod shop.
