Exclamation Throwing Code 26

"ECM detected the wrong potential voltage at the #1 quad-driver module circuit for 20 seconds."

I understand that somethings wrong, but can anyone help narrow down the possibilities ? Im thinking its something A/C related, but cant be to sure. Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks

Is this the code as read from a scanner or did you look it up for the translation? I did a little research and came up with possibilities of EVAP purge solenoid and/or TCC solenoid spitting too much voltage at the PCM. Manual or auto car?

Edit: just saw Spec stage 2 clutch in your sig, so not an A4...

I read it off my laptop. Im thinking its AC related because i didnt have this problem with my older tune (which was programmed to not show AC codes) and my new tune has all emissions tuned out of it. I had it done that way because i had removed my AC awhile ago, but recently put it back in. im sure theirs something there ******* something up

It's a 94?

The correct code description is:

Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve circuit

The computer is not liking the voltage potential on the circuit to the EVAP solenoid. Maybe that tune you have did not get the EVAP tuned out like you thought.

True^^ Lots of guys delete everything but the EVAP. Tuner might have missed it.

Thank you so much for the response! Ed Wright tuned my car. I doubt hed missed that, i told him all my emissions have been removed. Ill shoot him an email and ask him.

HERE IS A DESCRIPTION. CODE 26

Ignition voltage is supplied directly to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve on CKT 541. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls the solenoid valve by providing the ground path through CKT 428.
When the PCM is commanding a component "ON," the voltage of the control circuit should be "low" (near 0 volts). When the PCM is commanding the control circuit to a component "OFF," the voltage potential of the circuit should be "high" (near battery voltage). The primary function of the driver is to supply the ground for the component being controlled.
Each driver has a fault line which is monitored by the PCM. The PCM will monitor the voltage at the driver. If the fault detection circuit senses a voltage other than what is expected, the fault line status will change and the DTC will set.

DTC 26 WILL SET WHEN
The PCM detects the wrong voltage potential for 26 seconds on CKT 428.

ACTION TAKEN (PCM WILL DEFAULT TO)
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will illuminate and the PCM disables the driver for this circuit to prevent internal PCM damage.

DTC 26 WILL CLEAR WHEN
The fault condition(s) no longer exist, and the ignition switch cycled "OFF" then "ON."

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

This test determines if the device can be controlled by the PCM.
This check can detect a partially shorted coil which would cause excessive current flow. If excessive current flow is detected, a circuit check will be performed to isolate the device from the wiring. Leave the circuit energized for 2 minutes to allow the coil to warm up. The coil may open (amps drop to "0") when warm.
The remaining circuit checks will identify a circuit problem that has caused an excessive current flow or inoperative solenoid.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Inspect the harness and all related connectors including connections at the PCM. These may cause an intermittent. Check for damaged or pushed out terminals.

^ Thanks very much for the description. Its always good to know as much as possible about these cars. Ed Wright took care of the code in the tune.
