Default What # Injectors?

I have a set of #30lb injectors i know will work with my setup n/a but im not sure how big i should when going with spray down the road? I would rather sell what i got and go bigger now then switching them out at a later date. I know its not hard but i would rather just do it now. I was thinking a set of #42s would be more then fine but would like some input. My engine is a forged 355 bottom with mild h/c/i and going to hit it with up to a 150 shot.

why not hit it with a wet shot then you dont need injectors?????

Im not that into the spray tech talk yet but i know the engine will take a hit and im sure ill give into putting a kit on my car after i get it setup. So using a wet kit you shouldnt have to run bigger injectors? My 30lbs should fine when hitting it with a 100-150 shot? Thanks

ok im no nitrous expert but ill give you a quick run down........

theres two basic styles of nitrous dry kit....and a wet kit

Dry Kit:
Nitrous Only is injected when the system is enabled therefore you need to adjust your WOT tune to be able to supply the extra fuel needed......the draw back of this is when you go WOT off the nitrous you are going to be VERY rich.....and slowwwwww lol

Wet Kit:
Nitrous and Fuel are both injected via the NOS nozze when the system is enabled.....there fore your tune can stay the way it is along with your injector size....the car will still be quick off the juice and you wont be running rich......wet kit is what you see on most of the installs and what id reccomend going with......all you have to do is make sure that your FP will be able to supply the extra fuel for the soleniods when then enable.....

hope that helps......

Lt1 dry kits spike the fuel pressure to add necessary fuel when spraying.

This is correct. NOS(the actual company) uses a vacume souce T'd into the vacume line from the FP regulator and boosts FP when you hit the jug. Most of the dry systems used by LSX cars are sprayed through the maf and letting the maf make the fuel corrections. This is going to put more stress on the injectors there for increasing there duty cycle. A wet shot is pretty much dependent on your fuel pump being able to supply all fuel needs on motor and on the jug.

I have something to add to this, I have a forged 355 with a 200cc AI H/C package, im running 30# injectors and a walbro 255, i am still running the stock fuel reg which i am changing. Will 42# injectors be over kill if im stayin NA? i have 385 to the wheels, but my car is suppose to have 395-435+ rwhp with my set-up.
