Default Obd 2 to obd 1 ????

Does the the diagnostic port still work the same or am i going to have to modify
the port???
2nd???.....eliminating the crank sensor has no real bad effect does it???.......i'm going to eliminate the front 96 timing cover and install a 95 cover
with the water pump hole welded up and install CSR water pump also....

The diagnostic port will work like a '95 car. Those cars got the OBD2 port but still had the OBD1 PCM.

CPS is for emissions only. The opti handles all the timing duties.

When I ran the opti, I switched from OBDII to OBDI to clean up a miss I could not get rid of running the later PCM. Same tune in both PCM's - the early PCM handled the cam without issue, the later just choked on it at a certain RPM.
