Woah I just looked into it a little and it says the C5 was an LS1 Car I don't get why It would change from F-body to Vette? maybe someone else will chime in here. Figured the 4L60E should have been interchangeable with every model but that would be to easy :/

Any converter from '82 - '97 LT1 w/30 spline will work. I'm not aware of any LS1 converter working in the LT1. Save for the Yank SS, it has been tried and proven. Skimping on the converter will be your biggest mistake.

A couple things about cheaper converters is most of the time they just modify a converter from a smaller car to work. This is a problem for a couple reasons 1. the lock up clutch is most of the time much small then stock, and with a heavier, more powerful car they tend to wear out really quick, thus sending lockup clutch particles through your trans. Number 2. converters expand when extreme pressure is applied to them "like in drag racing", and what that does is push your crank into the thrust bearing causing premature wear and sending particles through your engine. I'm not saying the cheaper stalls are bad, but more that they are risky.
