If it works it works...not exactly the most pleasing to the eye, but function over form, right? Kudos.

Mine turned out really nice, but I have a TA with a ws6 hood so I have a lot more room. Yet another reason why I like TAs over the Camaro http://img697.imageshack.us/i/p1010874q.jpg/ I would have went with the same intake if I had a Camaro it has to be one of the best intakes you could run on your bolton Camaro. Good job if you get it to work like it should, did you have to cut the main support?

Yeah in the future I plan to run sheet metal over the whole thing and replace the LS1 Radiator support but for now its good and if it works and if i get the gains everyone says.
But for now it works it looks decent. And i have the regular Hood so don't have the luxury of doing that. But its a start go to the track the 9th to see if it really helps and then I'll make it look good from there!

I was also fortunate to have ample room being that the previous owner put a 98 front end on my car. This was month ago when the car wasn't running still and I the process of moving so excuse the mess (i now have a shop at my new house)

I hear that most people who have went from a cai to this have cut .2 from their 1/4mi times on the same day.

Yea its not the most pleasing to the eye but it works....I wanted to do that mod but I don't wanna cut the hood or chop up the lid base.

Thats why I did it .2 is HUGE from a mod like this takes all the bends out of the intake system and makes it a straight shot. Ill make it look good once I see the gains

Hell ya! If you get the gains from it then take the time to perfect it. No point in putting all the effort if it's not going to help.

+1 on taking a small preference on function over form to a point.

do you have a WS6 or regular hood? From my experience that thing wont shut with a non ram air hood. I had a pain getting mine to shut properly. deffinetly hacked up the underside of the hood pretty well to make it clear and shut properly. How does the metal support look? did you cut it out?

heres mine...(taken tonight)

My gain wasnt maximized because it wasnt until after thet tracks closed that i cut the rest of it out. atfirst i just cut the top peice and back side and let the air filter rest on the bottom of the inside peice of the rad support. The trans cooler was in the way of all the air flow also. i still think i managed to gain .1 or so. with it like it is now i should do better, once the cam goes in it.

Yeah I cut the under side of the hood to clear the lid.
Just want to get the best out of it before I leave for the AF then I'll have good money will have everything lol just make it full bolt ons for now.

and i did the same thing you did right there but i have the ac condensor and with the radiator leaned back the filter didn't have any problems going in

mine is going to be from right in front of the condenser but i think its more to take away from the bends in the LT1 set up that helps it more then anything.
