go with sweet thunder mufflers.....i researched this like crazy when i did my upgrades......i chose those over dynomax bullets from reading a poll thread where several folks said they had heard both side by side and sweet thunders won hands down.....search for the thread.......also, i'm lowered as low as sportline springs with 3 "duals and have no problems getting around except on the tallest speedbumps

Wow, your city streets must be like a racetrack or something.

I know several people with true duals on stock height or prokit and they're **** is as bad as mine lol.

I'm at WS6 spring height with isolators removed and my y-pipe is now flat on the bottom lol.

i wouldn't say they're great roads here in TN, but i do pay close attention to where i'm going, you kind-of have to in any lowered ride....sometimes i scrape slightly here and there, but overall i get around pretty well

I run the Edelbrock SDT 304 stainless in 3"...They flow very well, and are only 3 5/8" thick which is great for ground clearance...Lots of local guys were running these and running low 9's/high 8's with em...and they are not too loud. Imho, they are one of the best sounding mufflers out there.

I know you said you want the pipes to slide into each other, but just in case, don't weld to your collectors. Weld everything else though.

That way you can take off the setup from your longtubes when working on the car.

I have dual old school 2 chamber 3" flowmasters on my 94 and I love the way it sounds. does take a little clearancing for ground clearance with car being lowered 2"

I use v-bands. They are 40-60 dollars each, more like 45. You'll need two.

that's a pricier option, and fairly easy to put on and take off. Lots of good stories, also some bad about how well the seal up the system.

There are other options, like flanges, or band clamps.
