LTs because they make more power up top and Look 1000000000000000000x cooler!
Like ramair said LPPs fit great are SS so no rust and they are half the price of Kooks!

I had Arizona Speed and Marine mid lengths on my car first, and they were ok.

I upgrade to Pacesetter longtubes and it was well worth it...picked up a tenth or two actually.

I had to grind down my steering knuckle a bit to clear the headers, and the driver side collector hit the frame at first...but then then the motor mounts settled and it went away (I also put in poly mounts while I was in there)...

Go longtubes if you have the choice.

edit: sorry, car was a 94' LT1 Trans Am

Ok, got a question and hypothetical situation. Lt's are great for what reason? What makes them "special"? What if like a setup 944 has, why wouldn't it with 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 primaries make the same power as lt's? I first thought scavenging, but wouldn't it actually scavenge more having the merge closer creating a quicker vacuum on the cylinders?

Sure the Kooks are worth 20plus HP, but it is all upper end power as shown by the increase in trap speed but lack of a drop in ET. Honestly, I wish I would have stayed with the MACs, I miss their same-as-stock ground clearance.
There is no way Kooks has a 20 hp gain over Mac mids, maybe 2.

I am very tempted to go with MAC mids on this car...the last 2 F-bodies I have owned had pacesetter LT's and no matter what I did I could not keep the y-pipe from hitting the floor under hard accel. It got REALLLLLY annoying since they were my DD at the time. Now I am thinking about going mac mids to help with ground clearance and the annoying banging.

Mac mids are really nice headers. Read somehwhere that LT's only made a few more HP than the macs. I have macs on one car, and LT's on the other.

I'm torn now, because this TA isn't a DD so....

I also don't expect to keep this car for more than a year or two so I'm not throwing high dollar headers on it. Either MACs or Pacesetters.

Mild bolt-on car why not the Mac mids?
Full bolt-on car, FULL power potential go longtubes!
