Default any issues with re-using LT1 head bolts

some have said yes, some have said no. I'd like to use some ARP stuff, but the money may not be there.

I would replace the bolts. I don't think they torque the same when you reuse them; I think they are only made to torque once.

never re-use stock head bolt bolts. they are torque to yield which means when you tighten them down the first time they strech to make the metal stronger. after that they are no good. arp bolts are not torque to yield so they can be used more than once.

93-95 used non-TTY bolts from the factory.
96+ used TTY bolts. Any year LT1 can use either method of tightening, but not all bolts were TTY.

Either way, it's not a smart idea to reuse them.

ARPs on the otherhand can be reused time and time again.
