LOL I was just wondering because I've seen some people that do it
I tried it once and I did feel a little bit more power but I felt like I was going to break something so I haven't done it since then

to OP leave the car in (D) Drive and let the computer shift the car. you wont be able to shift faster then the computer.

He probably still won't have his car ready by then anyway. And I won't have my car September 3rd as I am upgrading

As far as the computer goes - at the track sometimes I had to manually shift it a bit because it seemed like my computer wanted to shift early with a bit of wheelspin - perhaps that is a bit of a tuning issue

i put mine in 3rd if its a short race or something, ill admit it does feel more touch if u put an auto in a lower gear, i never go below 3 though i only notice a bit of a diff between 3 and 4

I drop mine to 2nd if i'm at a reasonable speed. Kicks down a hell of a lot quicker than leaving it in (D)rive and letting those 5/6 speeds get the jump...
