im confused. so what is the correct way to check it then? by crank? what is the method of doing it that way? i orginally was trying to fix a lil thump i hear when letting off heavy throttle or at times when pushing in clutch. that magnetic angle finder is a POS aswell. i need to look into getting the digital one somebody was talkin about earlier.

plastic angle finder works fine for me. the clubs dont make the golfer.

Idk it dosnt stick very well to the driveshaft or torque ar
Very well, it falls. And the little lines were you see on what degree there on are so small it's hard to count what degree I'm on.

lol i feel like an idiot. i can do h/c installs and **** like that. but throw in degrees and mesurement tools and im lost. haha

Follow the video STEP BY STEP and you'll be fine. This is the correct way to set your pinion angle. The two places to use are your DriveShaft and your Base Plate for the TQ arm on the diff. Even if your car is on stands and not level the math will get you where you need to be as it will always come out to -1.5 to -2 when you're right.
