Are you saying it's PROVEN that cam makes more power in whatever ported head available or that it is PROVEN that it makes good power accommodated with an AI setup? This guy is asking between two cams and is not asking for advice on which cam is best or PROVEN.
I ran the 211/219 in my car with LPE heads/intake and did a best of 12.09 @ 115.5 w/ a 1.76 60' time. It made 370rwhp at 5800rpm. Shift points were 6200rpm.

DANG! I made 326RWHP at 5400 them it basically flattened out.
Car would go into the high 12s, I had issues trying to hook, so I was going soft off the line, and short shifted 1-2. dialed in 13.0-13.10 and was traping 109MPH and still pulling through the traps. I had 3:42 gears and was shifting into 4th at about 1,000'. Car was deadly consistent. But I'm sure a cam with more duration would have made allot more power. I think a cam with around 230 duration would be a much better for drag racing.
Someone else mentioned the GM847, it's big, but works well. We put a GM847 in a stocker (stock heads, only a spring change), Mac shorties, 3:42, 4800 stall, I thnk the shift point is around 6200 RPM, which the cam would probably like more RPMs, but with a stock bottom end,,,, With BFG DRs and it's going 12.20s.

I ran high 11s for years with the 211/219 in my Lingenfelter 383...was with 3.42s and a Vig 3600 and DRs...It shifted at 6200. Don't get me wrong, the 219/219 is a great cam, but like said earlier it was designed to work with the Superram intake. That cam with the Superram in a 1996 Formula 383 M6 made 415rwhp on Lingenfelter's Dyno way back in 1996...John said that side by side dyno comparisons with the 211/219 and the 219/219 both using the ported stock intake resulted in negligible differences. He said that the extra 8 degrees of intake duration and going from .533" to .560" of lift really complimented the better breathing of the Superram, especially at lower rpms (under 6000) where street cars use their power/torque. Torque picked up almost 60 ft/lbs on the engine dyno.
Anyway, will the 219/219 work? Sure will. Those that know me on this board know that I always liked lower duration cams with higher lift as seen by my weenie 226/234 that was in my 383. But I've also seen a few folks have good results with the 306. I guess, after rethinking my original post, you really couldn't go wrong with either...
