I used 1/4npt brass fitting from lowes too. Used fuel line for the hose since i wasn't sure if vacuum hose could stand up to the pressure. When I took off the crossover tube, the banjo bolt was completely clogged with dexcool.

Not clogged with Decool, when GM switched to Dexcool and 100K flush they added clay tablets to stop minor leaks. The clay is the problem not the Dexcool.

Anyone trying to restrict the flow to something like stock? Seems to me the posted pics would all flow a LOT more, not sure if that would be good, bad or indifferent????

I see it helping if anything, the idea is to vent steam and steam expands rapidly so the more room the better.

Vac hose should work fine..it's only 18psi at max, I think it was metal to handle the constant heat..that's my thought.

you know im rebuilding my engine right now... took off the steam pipes in the back.. they have 4 metal/rubber round gaskets... suckers cant be found anywhere but the stealership... and of course.. $7.89 a piece!!! x4... bites..

Same sort of washer is used in AC systems and oil drain plugs so they are easy to find if you look outside the box a little.

this.... oil drain plugs are working great on my car

Oil drain plug seals worked out out great on mine! They were $2.? a piece at vatozone.
