Exclamation k-member???

i have a 99 ls1 k member and the one to my 97 trans am is bent.i want to know if the ls1 k member will fit my car and if anyone has done it.i got it for a really good price.if someone has done it can you please tell me how you did it. thank you.

It will take modification to work. The motor mounts are different.

yes it will fit your car..and an LS1 motor .congrats on your great purchase, now go buy an LS1 and everything needed to run it ...

yes yea to me i got k member free.dude it was a simple question i figured there was some modding to do and i have everything from the car if it needs anything else.i have heard of ppl doing it and then later when they had everything they needed did the ls1 swap but thanks for the help.

NO. The 97 engine will not mount up to the LS1 K-Frame you have. Clean it up and sell it. Use the funds to get the correct one. UMI's are considered the strongest.

ok i found a lt1 k member and i will just keep this one once i have everything i need for a LSX swap just use this one or sell it thanks

OK great. Be advised that swapping to a LS1 in a LT1 car is pretty involved (read: difficult). If you want an LS1 car, get an LS1 car.

thanks for the info but i have a friend that did the swap with a k member from bmr and it was hard but nothing he hasn't done before and he has done a ls1 swap to a 78 trans am he just never thought about putting a ls1 k member on a lt1 motor.i thank yall for the advice.
