Default transmission help

Ok so I tried searching, but either there are none or I suck at searching. I'm trying to find the easiest/fastest way to drop my transmission to replace it. I've done it before but I usually have a lift, I'm stuck with jacks and jack stands now
Any help would be awesome, thanks

You first posted almost 4 hours ago, seems to be if you had dove in you would probably be well into reassembly by now.

I have not worked on the f-body much but what I do know from the b-bodies is I like to start with the nose just on ramps, go any higher and everything is a long reach and your arms get tired. I think you will find the top bellhousing bolts easiest if you pull the tranny crossmember and lower the tranny a little and use a longh extention to reach the bellhousing bolts. On the b-body I can get those from up top but you have a windsheild in the way.

Harbor freight has a scissor tranny jack for like $40 I use.

To get the tranny out from under the car and the new one under I slide them off the tranny jack onto some cardboard, you might have to lift the car to get the tranny out under the floorboards.

Run and pick up a 9/16 wrench with a tilt ratchet end. It'll make getting the top bolts a breeze.
