BTW I emailed LPP and he said that he might be getting another batch of headers in May or so. I can't wait that long, my goal is to have the car running and driving by the middle of May and I can't fab an exhaust that fast haha

I vote ebay headers

I have a hard time believing they are the same header primarily because all the fitment issues ran into with ebays most LPP owners do not have. I installed mine with the engine out but it doesn't hit anywhere, nothing needed to be clearanced (I have gen 2s). It sounds like the ebays are gen 1 LPP knockoffs because of all the fitment issues, the gen 2 LPPs were tweaked slightly for better fitment

This where the confusion arises.. Just because they are sold.on ebay doesn't mean thy are identical to LPPs...

There are at least two different styles on ebay, and one is NOT a stepped 1 7/8 header.

They look more like flp or dynatech knockoffs with a 3.5" collector

Bottom line with ebay headers is if you can live with the possibility of clearancing them go for it. The old ones made by eworldsales1 were the best ebay header. They were Pacesetter clones but modified for better plug access/fitment. Sadly he does not make them anymore.

Dynatech's are 1-3/4 all the wasy, not stepped, are not stainless, different primary tube routing, and have two-piece collectors. I see very few similarities...

Tell me these don't have the same tube routing and weld points as these kooks...

Ebay FTW.

Seen guys hammering to make LPPs fit too. Only difference is they hammer their car because they paid twice as much for the headers!

Two of my friends have lpp's from the 2nd batch. One friend has ap1ap2 headers. They all had the exact same problems. Clearance with the steering shaft, clearance on a stock k member, and passenger side frame rail. These were all on fresh builds with poly motor mounts.

Thats the way I understand it too. I doubt they changed a damn thing. Regardless the price of the headers is worth the little extra work needed to address the fitment issues and I would do it again.

Why not do a 2" primary with a 4" collector?

thats what he told me less than a month ago and then...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

they look to be the improved design with the #1 primary that kicks up over #3 & #5 instead of damn-near touching them like all the other ebay headers

I had to clearance my LPP's in a couple of spots and grind part of the Kmember on both sides and I still have a rub on the passenger side at the unibody frame rail. The last batch from who ever makes the LPP's where supposed to just like the Ebay headers posted on page one. Redesigned pipe routing to better clear the steering shaft. I was pitched by LPP (forgot his name think it was Carl) when I had all my problems with mine leaking to by a whole new set. lol NOT.
