I haven't heard anyone post up about installing the 3.5" collector Ebay ones. OBX I think is the brand?

If I hadn't found a set of used TPIS longtubes, I'd have tried them.

In my opinion they are the best fitting lt header available.
1. I can change all my plugs from the top. Even my first time it was simple compared to any others I've helped on. Still need to pull the alternator, but otherwise it's a breeze.
2. The header bolts are easy to get to because they use long bolts through stand-off tubes instead of them being crammed against the primaries at the flange.
3. The #1 primary tube drops down and goes underneath the steering shaft instead of up and back over it, then down like every other brand I've seen. It has plenty of clearance and is a big reason plug access is so good. #2 is the same way.

They are 1 3/4" primary instead of 1 7/8" or stepped, but I doubt most of us will ever see a difference from that 1/8" difference. Plus, you don't have to bash them anywhere so the tubes stay true to the diameter.

My SS already had them when I got it, and I like them so much I paid $300 for a used set of ceramic coated ones with no Y for my gf's car when I could have gotten a set of new stainless ebay ones for that with the Y pipe. I'm planning on "giving" her my Y and then fabbing a new one for myself.

Plug access alone is a plus for me. I may sell mine and go with those. I have big hands and plug access is a nightmare for me. It takes me forever to change plugs

I love mine, but they are very expensive unless you can find a good used set. Last time I checked, they were $600 new without a Y-pipe...and that was the painted version....so I bet you could add at least another $150 for coating.

I'm not sure of the thermal properties of 304 SS compared to mild steel but doubt there would be much difference in under hood temps between 304SS and mild steel both uncoated. I'm planning on buying a set of the LPP knock off SS headers off Ebay and have them ceramic coated. No rust and reduced under hood temps for a decent price.
