so please enlighten me when it was decided that airflow 'had to be measured'? or was it just whenever?? my point is that ppl most definitely have had success without a flow bench. just because that technology is available doesn't mean that it's absolutely necessary to improve airflow. annnd again, I"m on a budget.

If you are just doing minor work like I described before you do not need a flow bench. Just be careful to duplicate your work from port to port and don't get greedy.

If you are looking to get the maximum out of a set of heads, you will need a flow bench and a bunch of cylinder head cores to learn on. At that point it is often better to send them out. A really good set of stock LT1 heads could cost as much as $5,000.00. It all depends on what your real goals are.

A 9v battery, a couple crazy straws, and an early 90s issue of Highlights magazine from the dentist's office and you're in business.

If you threw in the alcoholic beverage of your choice, this recipe could also be the making of a interesting saturday evening.....

No. PM for details. Its not hokie like these guys would like to make it sound. It works quite well enough to let a guy learning evaluate his own stuff. At least in terms of flow, we can't forget about velocity though.

Huge gears, tall tires, light weight rotating parts and a great trans.
