heated 02 sensor, or no?
im pretty sure they are there to read a/f ratio and give that information to the ecu so that the ecu can adjust fuel supply accordingly.

31camaro, narrowband o2 sensors only provide rich lean info, not actual a:f. This is what is needed so the edu can toggle rich/lean and give the catalyst what it needs to properly clean the exhaust. Too much rich or too much lean will kill the cat, clog the exhaust and send emissions thru the roof. The engine would run better richer and get better fuel economy leaner if there was no catalyst to worry about.
