I still think the Monster Transmission is the weak point in your build.

And go with a mail-order tune. It will be just fine and far more reliable than someone trying to tune the car who isn't familiar with LT1s.

You should be fine with the mail order tune. The panhard rod really isn't needed either...maybe get a set of relocation brackets instead. Lastly the diff cover might be a waste IMO.

I purchased a second pcm with a stock tune just in case I had problems. As far as choosing a cam go custom.

Don't waste your money on a 2500 stall.

Your stall speed should probably be about 1000 HIGHER than what you think.

And if you have a laptop and an interface cable there's no reason why you can't save your stock tune. Pull off the stock tune, save it on your computer, load the new one. Simple.

And my recommendation is to get a cam from someone who is more LT1-oriented. Comp probably won't be nearly as helpful or provide you with the results you want.

I don't remember the name of the program offhand, but PCMforless.com sends it with every tune. It is just a PCM loader, not a tuner.

Tunerpro, Tunercat, etc., are all OBDI tuners.

X2 Comp cams was way off from what I was looking for. Call Lloyd elliot and have him suggest an out of the box cam or a custom grind.

they come in the kit. but im pretty sure they sell separate.

Well i was supposedly getting a "Free" cam from a friend. turns out its a flat tappet from a sbc which is worn and prob a blower cam (.620,.540). so im going to give lloyd elliot a call and see what he recomends. I like the AI stuff but im tryin to stay in a budget. Id like to get heads too if i can afford it

I got LE2 heads and custom cam shiped for 1900 a little over a year ago from Lloyd Elliot with no cores being returned.
As far as those plants go.... I a may be worried about using them over the GM ones. I know the GM ones are expensive. Part of the F' up they made with trans #3 was they were supossed to be putting 5 pinion plants in it and it was only 100 bucks more to upgrade to them. The Math didn't add up to the GM plants so I have no idea who makes them but you know the rest about it being given to me compleatley dry of fluid. Thats what caused that whole mess to unfold.
