You don't know the construction of the mounts very well do you? That is also another part of their job, sure, they may give minutely, but not enough to break a trans mount. Don't even talk about solids, I'll be putting in a set coming up soon.

My experience with a poly trans mount and rubber engine mounts with an M6:
Very firm mounting point at the trans, looser at the engine mounts makes the T56 clutch fork more prone to rattle with the clutch released in neutral (side-side vibration transmitted from engine to trans). Getting ready to switch the engine mounts to poly as soon as I get to a stopping point with the red A4 project. Curious to see how it changes, if any.

i wasted 3 auto parts store trans mounts in 1500 miles on one trip, this was with a stock lt1 with a 4l60e, 3200 rpm stall, shift kit, and programming as well as 4.11s in the rear also stock 145k+ mile stock motor mounts, that thing shifted hard and quick, and the stock replacement mounts didnt like it one bit. I bought a 3rd gen ES Poly trans mount (was no listing for 4th gen) and found it identical. installed it and no vibration issues and no more breaking trans mounts.
part of the issue was probably the motor mounts but with how hard that thing shifted it chewed oe style mounts up like candy

This is the first broken one I've had. This isn't a regular thing for me. It's taken quite a while to break this one. I just know they can be prone to constant failure so I'm looking for a good one so it doesn't become a problem.
I'm not changing motor mounts for a broken trans mount. I'll change the trans mount 10 times before I touch a motor mount. (yes, that sounds lazy. Yes, I'm ok with that.)

Unless your motor mounts are shot they will not cause you to break the trans mount. The first indication of loose motor mounts is the exhaust hitting the floor when you torque the motor up. The Energy mount changes the pinion angle which is the cause of the vibration from what I have read. The torque arm pulling up on the trans is the leading cause to broken trans mounts.
