Default tranny mount

I believe I had destroyed my tranny mount. Is there a good one that will last? I know i can get a vatozone one for like $8 but if it goes every month I'm not interested.

I've heard a lot of people have vibration issue with the energy one. I just got one from GM when mine went yeah it cost more but it lasted 80,000 the first time.

If you don't like the ES polymount you can always get the GM Ls1 mount I have had mine for 6 years.
If you want to keep from breaking them get the TQ arm off the back of the tranny, body mount is the way

Get some poly motor mounts, you will stop breaking trans mounts then.

The reason I broke a trans mount a month is because the rubber engine mounts let it torque up so much it'd bust the trans mount. Polys don't let that happen.
Should be no different for others. What's your problem?

i wouldn't worry about vibration with poly mounts. That would assume there was vibration in the driveline, which there shouldn't be.

I broke three in just a couple of years. I went with a Energy Suspension and it has been on the car for several years now!

The motor mounts stop the engine from twisting. They do nothing to stop it from rocking back and forth, that's all the tranny mount.

You don't know the construction of the mounts very well do you? That is also another part of their job, sure, they may give minutely, but not enough to break a trans mount. Don't even talk about solids, I'll be putting in a set coming up soon.

My experience with a poly trans mount and rubber engine mounts with an M6:

Very firm mounting point at the trans, looser at the engine mounts makes the T56 clutch fork more prone to rattle with the clutch released in neutral (side-side vibration transmitted from engine to trans). Getting ready to switch the engine mounts to poly as soon as I get to a stopping point with the red A4 project. Curious to see how it changes, if any.

i wasted 3 auto parts store trans mounts in 1500 miles on one trip, this was with a stock lt1 with a 4l60e, 3200 rpm stall, shift kit, and programming as well as 4.11s in the rear also stock 145k+ mile stock motor mounts, that thing shifted hard and quick, and the stock replacement mounts didnt like it one bit. I bought a 3rd gen ES Poly trans mount (was no listing for 4th gen) and found it identical. installed it and no vibration issues and no more breaking trans mounts.

part of the issue was probably the motor mounts but with how hard that thing shifted it chewed oe style mounts up like candy

lol wat.

Poly motor mounts will stop you from breaking trans mounts. Go with the energy suspension.

This is the first broken one I've had. This isn't a regular thing for me. It's taken quite a while to break this one. I just know they can be prone to constant failure so I'm looking for a good one so it doesn't become a problem.

I'm not changing motor mounts for a broken trans mount. I'll change the trans mount 10 times before I touch a motor mount. (yes, that sounds lazy. Yes, I'm ok with that.)

Unless your motor mounts are shot they will not cause you to break the trans mount. The first indication of loose motor mounts is the exhaust hitting the floor when you torque the motor up. The Energy mount changes the pinion angle which is the cause of the vibration from what I have read. The torque arm pulling up on the trans is the leading cause to broken trans mounts.

my mount broke at about 130k miles. replaced it with a GM one, now i'm at 145k with a pretty hard shifting car.

i did however build a body mount torque arm around 140k
