Default disaster b4 the shootout.

well if people have been paying attention i had planned on running my bolt on lt1 car in the ltx shootout this year.
but as my luck would have it, thats not going to be an option now.
some of you guys know i had a bad car wreck and broke my back last march.
i recovered extremely fast, and was back in the gym after a major sugery only 2 months later. but now on my way home from work i had a truck driver decide to cut over infront of me and run me off the road.
i was going around 80 mph and dodged him and several other cars only to tag a sign on the side of the express way. it completely destroyed my quater panel on the right side, ripped the camaro panel off, tore the right tail light out, and mangeled the bumper. the car is a 99 hardtop, black. ls1. its my DD, so with all that going wrong, i have to fix that b4 the lt1 is able to go to the strip. i really hope i have the money to get everything done, but i highly doubt it.
i work for the state as a correctional officer, they pay us crap money.
it really sucks because this was going to be my first f body event, although ive been in love with the cars my entire life, and have played and worked with them since i was 16, i had never had a car to take to anything. i was always in the process of some mod and couldnt go to anything local. after breaking my back, my car work has been limited.
i only have time to work on things when i have help. and i only know of one person that actually takes time out of there life to help, and i can expect that all the time. so ill be working on paying for my 99 to be fixed, and getting it back together.
ill have to work alot of overtime to get it fixed. and that will cut down work time on my 95, and money towards it.
yeah i know long story. but maybe you guys could share some pain .
had to vent to people that knew what it meant to hurt there pride and joys. not everyone in life loves these cars the way we all do.

Man, I hate to hear that.

Sleep on it a little before you give up. The number one positive is that you didn't get hurt.

This class shouldn't take much to be competetive. Half the stuff that everyone wanted doesn't show any gains in ET. Feel free to PM me and I will help you in any way that I can.

Hope they had insurance and it can help with the repairs, sorry to hear you got hurt before all that but glad you recovered. Maybe with some positive thinking and some work you can make it happen

The trucker that ran me off the road kept going. And due to my insurance sky rocketting after breaking my back, I don't have full coverage on the 99. So lol, here we go.
If I am able to show at the shootout, I will have Damn near a stock car.
Oh well, we'll see what I can do.
