i hear ya, but too many variables to get a irrefutable answer that will hold up and stand on it's own based on that video.

i could see the reckless driving, but that too, weren't too many cars around.

still curious what he officially got.

It's obvious he was well over 100, which is enough to get you a reckless conviction. The fact that the event was corroborated by many witnesses sealed his fate...dummy.

is there any way to guarentee he is the one driving? let alone this is in his car? I understand they can trace the origin of where the video was uploaded from most likely. outside of the corner of his forehead there is no clear shot of his face and a white male driving a corvette is hardly a detailed description. without anything to label is specifically him in his car (tag, face shot, vin, etc.) a good lawyer that likely a guy with a 1000hp vette can afford could likely get it thrown out or bumped down to an even lesser infraction.

but the amount of media attention this incident has received could compromise any chance this guy might have.

BINGO!!

I was thinking though, since HE posted the vid and HE titled it "1000 HP Corvette Doing 195 mph" could that not be considered a confession?

Just a thought

I know here in Oklahoma if they have a tag number it is the person the car is registered to that gets nailed in these cases reguardless of who is driving.
Here is the writing from the Okie Govt on the definition.

§47 11 901. Reckless driving.
A. It shall be deemed reckless driving for any person to drive a motor vehicle in a careless or wanton manner without regard for the safety of persons or property or in violation of the conditions outlined in Section 11 801 of this title.
B. Every person convicted of reckless driving shall be punished upon a first conviction by imprisonment for a period of not less than five (5) days nor more than ninety (90) days, or by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or by both such fine and imprisonment; on a second or subsequent conviction, punishment shall be imprisonment for not less than ten (10) days nor more than six (6) months, or by a fine of not less than One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or by both such fine and imprisonment.

That will stand up about as well as the red light cameras. It is going against the Constitution that states "innocent until proven guilty".

Now the fact his face is on the video and clearly driving the car that makes things a little trickier to infact argue.
