stock bottom end & untouched stock heads
comp cams xe 230/236 112
crane 1.6rr
k&n cai
ebay headers and y pipe

305-315hp. A good running stock M6 car on an average dyno will be around 245-250.

dam i got a long way to go lol...i was hoping 325 to 340rwhp.even tho my cam isnt that large, will a set of heads such as the le2 give an extra 75hp to put me close to 400hp? just asking as its seems like its not too many more "bolt ons" i can do other than a throttle body and injectors.

Think about it like this.........

If you want 400hp to the wheels, that is like having nearly 500hp at the flywheel. You have a 350 cubic inch engine. You will need some really good heads and a much bigger cam. Dyno numbers are for bragging rights nothing more.

The only "numbers" you should care about are track numbers, period. Track numbers show how good and efficient a car is at taking it's dyno numbers and applying them to moving the car like it's supposed to.

well this all derives from 4 of my high school buddies all have lsx cars, and it hadnt been pretty for me at all.now 2 of them are in the process of adding magic stick cams and they throw that 400hp cam only **** in my face so ive been trying to recoup some of my dignity with a hp number lol.its seems like ill be steadily be modding my as they call it "antique *** motor" and still wont make nowhere near as much power as they will cam only.sigh..but i know someone is gonna chime in with just get a ls1 but i actually like my car.not for the fact its a lt1 but its in really good shape(example..my dash doesnt have one crack in it) and i got it for a good price...and it has oil pressure finally...i lost my 2 previous lt1 cars to oil pressure and knocking motors not even owning them 1mnth each...smh

Better look for dignity somewhere else. The LT1 isn't going to give you any on a dyno.

Modify it for 0-60 acceleration and destroy them on the street (suspension, torquey cam, fat tires). That's about all you can do.

You could also brag about your exhaust note or superior looks. Both being completely subjective and will result in nothing for you... but hey. You can try.
