Canton Oil Pan Question

Canton Oil Pan Question
I just got a badass looking Canton Oil Pan from T/A LT1 but there are two holes without plugs, obviously the one being the drain plug and he said the other was the oil level sensor plug near the back of the pan.
I was wondering if I need to order a special drain plug from Canton or if I could use my stock drain plug. Also with the oil level sensor, could I just put some thread sealer on a bolt and plug that hole?

It should have come with a nice big magnetic drain plug.
The nut on mine is 7/8".
Also, the oil level sensor is in a bad spot if you have hooker headers.
I had mine relocated

Did you check to make sure he didn't put the plug inside the pan? I have never heard of someone selling a pan with out the drain plug. Any way for the oil level sensor it is an odd size so don't just throw anything in there. I did the research over a year ago when I was looking for a plug to plug mine. It's an odd odd bolt think it's M20 1.5 I think!!! It's been a while. No regular auto parts store carries them and gm wants 30 bucks for them. Summit sells them but again 20+ bucks. I found one at ACE for 5 bucks. Go to the nut and bolt section and find the bin with oil drain plugs since it sounds like you need one and it is in with them or usually right next to it. Might want to check on that size but I think it's right.

It's a standard part for light GMC trucks. You can proably find it at the parts store.

1/2-20 is the size and thread pitch of the drain plug (use a 7/8" wrench)
The stock oil level sensor fits the Canton pan.
I don't remember what wrench I used on it or what the thread pitch was.
If you look at my photos (above), you can see which is which.

There is also a threaded hole that faces up on one of the kick outs on the pan. not sure what size it is or if you were even talking about it. Im using that for my return oil line from my turbo set-up im working on.

I'm a cheap bastard so I'll probably just pick one up from a hardware store and throw it on with some silicone .
