Default Low nitrous results with plate?

Ok so the run down on my car is.....383 with a th350 with a 4000 stall. I was spraying a 100 shot through a nozzle and it was picking up right at 100 hp. That was with 4 degrees of timing pulled out. I installed a stand alone fuel system, Nitrous Outlet plate kit jetted for a 225 shot and 6 degrees of timing pulled out. It only picked up 140 hp at the rear wheels on the 225 shot. I know for a fact its not blowing through the converter but I cant figure out where the power is at? It was tuned by a reputable local shop also. Any ideas or things I should try?

Do you have the hard line kit, or the one with braided lines? If it's the braided lines, the -4 feed wont flow over 175. That could drop to only 140 due to being overly rich..

When it was on the dyno the tuner would pull the plugs after each pull. He kept changing things until the plugs looked the way he wanted them to. I can get pics up but I really trust this guy with his tuning abilities. The stand alone is the Cold Fusion kit with a Holley Black pump, 8 psi, running 112 fuel. I have the braided lines running to the plate but the nitrous line is way bigger on the inside than a standerd 4AN. The air fuel is 11 across the board. The funny thing is everything looks perfect, the car performs perfect....no misses, pulls hard all the way through to redline, but the power just isnt there. Its really confusing. I was thinking about putting the nozzle back on and not using the plate to see if it changes in any way.

run it at the track, **** dyno numbers. if you've got a 72 jet or whatever in there, and the plugs look good ALL AROUND, then that 72 jet worth of nitrous is going in there.

I went yesterday and ran it. It picked up some but not what I felt it should have. It picked up a tenth and 3 mph in the 1/8 over best with the 100 shot. I know the dyno number on a stalled car can look fun but something isnt right or it has a bottle neck some where and I am not sure where. I am running a .082 nitrous jet(225 shot)

Call the guys at Nitrous Outlet and see if they can help. Also, might want to post this in the nitrous section if you haven't already.

Ya the N/O kits are rated RWHP so you should be getting all 225 to the rear tires. Call up Dave and ask.

I was figuring he bought the plate separate and was running the same solenoids. ya know, since he already had a kit on it.

82 jet... geez. I think that's asking for trouble on an LTx intake.

My noids are good to 300. I did just buy a plate seperate, I went with that over the nozzle. I am thinking the factory style intake is whats holding me back at this point. If that is true, then I will be looking for someone single plane/Vic jr intake set up for sale!!!

Factory intake is not holding you back. I had the 200 jets on my plate kit 2 years ago and made 215 to the wheels through a ported factory intake. Something isn't working right with your current setup.

Plugs good all around = no intake problem

82 Jet = 300 hp with no restrictions

My math is usually pretty good...

*edit* you're pulling 6 degrees of timing for an 82 jet.... ok what's you actual timing right now?
