Cam/bolt on + nitrous guys....
its a 2001 mustang, he has stage 1 trick flow cams, shorty headers, 3.73 gears, larger throttle body, magnaflor cat back, off road X pipe, various other bolt ons and modifications, rear seat delete, race seats...etc, very clean car. His best last year befor the supercharger was 13.2 or 13.3 on nitto 555r's. I was on the same 315 555r's with my only mods being a Ls1 lid swap, Cutout, and 3500 converter. i went 13.6 lol (stock exhaust manifolds and Y pipe)
His car shouldve gone 12's but our track prep is the worst, if you even want to call it prep. he was doing 13.3's with a 2.1-2.2 60ft. my 60's were a tad better at 1.9-2.0...got up to 2.2's as well though.
We are both switching to ET streets this year and hoping for traction! he went with 315's, im going to end up with 275's. I raced a fox body that pulled the tires up on 255 et streets, 315's are just a waste of rubber money and weight in my eyes now! Id like to do gears as well but im not sure what will happen, if i can find a 3.42 rear end for cheap id rather do that.
Should be a fun year once this trash can, i mean trans am, is running again.
