Default LT1 Hoods

Ok I have seen a few LS1 style SS hoods being made for the LT1 camaros. I was just wondering if anyone on here has one. And if so do you have any pics??

I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like better. I like the looks of both, the LS1 style is alot smoother where I think the LT1 style is more choppy and in your face. I'm planning on an LS1 SS spoiler, but it might get a little modified before its installed.

So does anyone have an LS1 style SS hood on their LTx Car??

I had one. Hated it with a passion. Sold it and went back to a stock z hood.

When it was orange:

After I went all black and 5 spokes:

Get the LT1 SS style, it fits the car so much better IMO.

The LS1 style SS hood does not look right on LT1's IMO. I just got an OEM LT1 SS hood and I love it. Goes with the front end more than the Tear Drop(LS1 SS) hood.

What is confusing about this? The LS1 SS and LT1 SS hood scoops looked totally different (as can be seen in pics above)...aftermarket companies make LT1 camaro hoods with a 98-02 style scoop on it. Thats what OP is reffering to.

The OP didn't write anything about a scoop, cowl, raised portion, or anything. That is why it is misleading.

Oh jesus, I'm sorry. Do you honestly think that I wanted to buy an LS hood and then simply bolt it on???

LS1 scoop on and LT1 hood that bolts to the LT1 car

I have to agree that the LTx style works with the car alot better than the lower profile LSx style scoop But I have to say that the black car doesn't look bad with the LS style hood.

Now the black Z with the factory SS hood That just looks so good, I'm pretty sure the in your face style of the LTx SS hood is going to win this battle for my car.

Thanks for the pics guys

Calm down stud, it was a mix of me lacking hood knowledge and you lacking articulation skill. I wasn't the only one looking for clarification. Pictures obviously cleared up the confusion.

You know I wasn't going to change hoods from the stock Z-28 hood but after looking at your pics....I want one. That looks so freakin awesome. Is yours an actual factory SS hood? or a reproduction? The Factory LT1 SS hoods are like impossible to find anymore and repo's sucks ***!!! I have one for my 83 T/A and it couldn't fit worse if I put it on backwards. Is there anyone that makes a good fitting LT1 SS hood? or is there a place to get Factory Original Hoods?

Thanks for the comments guys.

It is a factory SS hood, and I definitley paid for it because of that. They are getting hard to find but if you keep your eye out they do pop up once in a while. I know of one for sale close to where I live in Nebraska. I would never put a repo on my car so when I finally found one I had to get it.

**** repos.

My TA ws6 repo pisses me off everytime I see it. And for the amount of money I paid for paint and lining up, I should have just bought it from SLP.

I've had a few things repainted, such as the bumpers, hood, spoiler, mirrors, door handles.

There was one near me that I saw on the road almost every day and every day it seemed we caught the same light together. It was divine intervention... God wanted me to school him in my 4door GTP......So.....I did. Need less to say I kind of took the GTP badges off and stuck GT badges on it when I got it so everyone would think it was the slower version. kind of Ironic really.
