Default MoRe PrObLeMs!! Un*******ReAl!?!?

So I was out pulling the valve train out of this thing again since the heads have to come back off due to defective head gaskets and I notice that one of my polly locks is moving around on the rocker stud a lot more than the rest of them as I am backing them off their pre load and back past zero lash. I pull it off and realize that the polly lock has ben binding against the inside of the roller rocker and has worn a groove in it. I thought it was a bad rocker but then I put the rocker back on as well as the polly and tightened it back to zero lash. I then backed it off one turn and it was moving around side to side on the rocker stud again way more then the others even if I backed the others off 5 turns to almost the last thread. I could almost pull it off after only one turn back from zerolash. Like the threads at the bottom of the polly were not even touching the threads on the rocker stud. I put a polly from another rocker on the problem rocker and it did not bind at all. It also looks like there is a grove in the cam lob on the problem rocker and polly now. As soon as I get the heads off I will post a pick so you can give me your input on it. I'm ready to throw this thing in the Gulf of Mexico. Here's the rocker and polly.

It has a grove in it but it is a real narrow groove. Hard to tell. As soon as I get the head off I will pull the lifter back out and see if I can take a pick through the lifter bore. I kind spot check a couple and that was the only lob that looked like something may be going on. I'll post it up this afternoon.

Ok so here are the pix of the cam lobe and the lifter roller. The cam has a slight grove in it but I can't seem to get any type of no scarring material in there to feel how deep it is. Almost looks like the engine had trash in it and did that. IDK. I think maybe it will be ok. Lifter has no signs of that scar so I dont know how it got there. It follows the entire race way on the cam but is more evident on the ramps and top of the lobe. I'll check the rest of them later.

I would have to dig through the paper work. I think he used Pro Forms? they are a SA rocker. Lloyd gave a list of parts to use to finish off the topend and I e-mailed it to the builder when the heads where on the way and I think he just bought what ever was on the list. IDK anymore I'm ready to go cut the builders ***** off and stuff them up his ***.
